Reasons to use NO MORE PLY...
It was the way we all did it. Plywood was used for over- boarding floorboards before laying or fixing ceramic tiles. However, this caused problems because if the grouting cracked or the sealant failed, water would creep in and rot the plywood. Also there was a problem with fungal growth - this often reacted with the adhesive causing the tiles to become loose. The pro's amongst us thought the problem could be overcome by using marine grade plywood, but preservatives in this material migrated through the grout and gave it an orange stain. A minimum of 15mm plywood has to be used for over boarding floorboards - creating of course, a dangerous step into the tiled room. Now there is a solution to eliminate all these problems. A unique, easy to lay, water resistant tile backer board that's just as effective on the wall as it is on the floor. That's....... NO MORE PLY
